Gender researchers are found within almost all disciplines and fields in Norway. From the Selected topics on this website we provide links to researchers relevant to the topic in question - and with information in English.
The Gender in Norway website focuses mainly on questions related to today’s society - on political and other social issues from a gender perspective. In the thematic section you will find links to some of the relevant researchers.
For a deeper and more detailed understanding of the implications of gender in Norwegian society researchers are often valuable and current sources of information. Many researchers have at least some of their work published in English, which makes it accessible for international readers.
There is a great deal of gender research carried out in academic fields not covered on this website; within history and arts, in philosophy and in many other disciplines that also contribute to the overall picture of Norway and Norwegian society from a gender perspective.
If you are unable to find the research or researchers you are looking for - please contact KILDEN Information and Documentation Centre for Women’s Studies and Gender Research. KILDEN provides information services on gender research in Norway for users all over the world. KILDEN has, among many other information sources, a database of gender researchers (called Forskerbasen), at the moment only available in Norwegian.
